Community Centre Staff

Jon Pott
Centre Manager
Jonathan was brought up in Norwich before studying Economics at University which led him to a career in currency broking in the city of London. Whilst working in the city he joined the British Army Reserve and undertook training in covert surveillance before an injury curtailed his career. In his late twenties he took a leap of faith to follow his passion for cooking. After completing the Grande Diplome at Le Cordon Bleu he worked in the world of fine dining and Michelin Star restaurants under chefs such as Marcus Wareing, Daniel Clifford and Bjorn Frantzen (in Stockholm). During his years in the kitchen he completed wine qualifications which led him to work in Cambridge Wine Merchants and more recently Saffron Grange Vineyard.
Jonathan's journey of his Christian Faith started young, as he was baptized by his Grandfather who was Canon Vicar of St Mary the Virgin in Heacham, North Norfolk. He was confirmed at Norwich Cathedral in his early teens and since moving to Cambridge he's been a member of the congregation at St John the Evangelist, Hills Road. He has undertaken retreats at Worth Abbey in West Sussex learning more about the Benedictine way of life, community and work ethic as well as spending time reading theological texts.
Out of work he is an avid bird watcher and is trying his best to grow chilli's!
Jonathan is looking forward to being able to put all of his experience and knowledge to use to help run the centre and contribute to the community.

Emily Wright
Assistant Centre Manager
Emily is an historian, writer, and creative with a background in marketing, administration and event management. Her most recent role was at Chequer House Gallery in Norfolk where she managed the day-to-day running of the gallery, worked closely with visitors and buyers, and led on marketing and communications.
Over the years, she has also organised a wide range of events, from art exhibitions and private parties to balls and golf days.
She holds a BA in English and History and an MA in Early Modern History from UEA. Outside of her professional work, Emily is engaged in her own history projects, running a history blog, writing articles, and slowly working on an historical novel. She loves exploring historic places as well as travelling to experience different cultures.
Nature, history, literature, and art sit at the heart of her life. Alongside her writing, Emily is an amateur artist, and in summer 2025 she shared her work publicly for the first time, taking part in two exhibitions in Suffolk. She also has a love of pub quizzes and previously worked as a quizmaster at a pub in Suffolk.
Emily is eager to contribute to St Paul's, bringing her skills, creativity and love of people into the life of the church and its wider community.
