About our spaces
What types of rooms are available for hire?
We hire 4 rooms at our centre, the Church Hall, Upper Hall, Lower Hall and Meeting Room. The three halls are large open plan spaces which have a variety of uses, such as dancing, acting, conference and lectures. The meeting room is more intimate and will hold a maximum of 12 guests.
What is the capacity of each room?
o Church Hall: 250 guests
o Upper Hall: 70 - 100 guests
o Lower Hall: 60-70 guests
o Meeting Room: 12 guests
What are the opening hours for room hire?
We hire our rooms from 8am till 11pm. On rare occasions we allow hires to start a little earlier at 7am.
Can I look around in advance?
YES! Please do come and look around. Contact the bookings team in advance to arrange a time.
Can we bring our own catering or use the kitchen?
Yes, you are very welcome to bring in our own catering company. We have two preffered caterers who know the centre well; Puddini & The Modern Table.
Booking Process
How do I book a room?

How far in advance should I book
Book as soon as you know your date of the event of multiple dates if you are looking for a block booking. We have regular hires that book two years in advance, so please book as early as possible. Please note that room prices do rise in line with inflation.
Is a deposit required?
If your booking is a large event which we deem as a high risk event, we will add a deposit of between £50 and £200 to your invoice
Pricing & Payment
How do I pay for the booking?
We will send out invoices the month before the booking, normally on the 15th of the month. Invoices are payable 14 days before the booking
Are there discounts for charities?
Yes, charities can receive a 15% discount on bookings. This is only applicable to registered charities.
Do I need to pay for cleaning?
For some large bookings which will create a lot of mess and need a specific clean, we do charge £50 for a clean. This will be added at the time of invoicing.
Access & Facilities
What facilities are included? (Wi-Fi, kitchen, AV equipment, tables/chairs)
It depends on the room. Wifi is available throughout the centre and chairs and tables are included within the room hire price, however please do ensure they are added to the booking, to make sure they are available.
Is there parking available?
There is on street parking on St Paul's Road and the nearby Queen Anne multistory carpark
Is the venue accessible for people with disabilities, do you have accessible toilets?
Yes, our Church Hall and Lower Hall are both accessible and have accessible toilets. Howver the Upper Hall and Meeting Room is not currently accesible.
Rules & Restrictions
Are there any noise restrictions?
Yes, all music must be off at 10:30pm and must not be very loud as we are in a residential neighbourhood.
Can alcohol be served?
Yes, alcohol may be consumed on the premises in moderation. For instance, alcohol may be consumed with food, or as part of a formal event or concert, such as a retirement party or wedding party. Drunken behaviour will not be tolerated and it is the duty of the hirer (not of St Paul’s) to ensure that there is no so behaviour. Alcohol may not be sold on the premises without the agreement of St Paul’s Management and an appropriate license by the hirer must be obtained from the council.
Are there any limitations on decorations or equipment?
Yes, St Paul's is a Grade 2 listed building and therefore we are limited what can be attached to walls. Please ask the bookings team regarding specific directions.
Will the team at St Paul's set up for me?
No, we hire all of our rooms 'dry' and therefore do not set up or clean down for events. Therefore please ensure that the set up and clean down time is included in your booking
