The Duke of Edinburgh's Award and the St Paul's Award

To inspire, guide and support young people in their self-development and to recognise their achievement.’

St Pauls works with Joy of Adventure to deliver training, practice and qualifying expeditions for both of these Awards. The website gives participants and parents a basic overview of what is involved www.dofe.org

As the The Duke of Edinburgh’s awards need to be completed by the time you are 25, St Paul runs its own award which has the same requirements but can be completed at any age. The scheme based at St Paul’s offers two streams of activity:

    1. Local young mums participating in DofE for under 25s and the St Paul’s Award for over 25s. A successful pilot Bronze Award expedition was completed in summer 2017 by four local mums and their young children.  The impact on these women and their children has been highly significant. A new group of mums will start early in the new year and recruitment is currently underway. Contact helen@stpaulscambridge.org.uk
    2. DofE Gold Award for young people in the local area who would otherwise not have access to it, including students from Parkside 6th, Hills Road (canoeing), MPW, UTC and Oundle as well as PGCE students from the Cambridge University Faculty of Education.
