There are a number of opportunities for people to meet with each other outside the Sunday and Chapel Services. It would not be quite true to say all are welcome to everything, as there are a couple of men’s events, but opportunities for new groups are always encouraged even for a short season.
St Paul’s longest standing group, Tuesday Fellowship has been running for over one hundred years! It is a time of prayer and singing and usually has a guest speaker. Tuesday at 2.30pm in term time. Details of speakers are published on the weekly Family News.
This group meets twice a term on a Sunday evening at 7.30 in the Vicarage. The subject for discussion is decided by those present and there is no agenda. All are welcome. Dates are published in the weekly Family News.
The Men’s Breakfast meets on the third Saturday of every month at 8.30am at the Earl of Derby Pub, Hills Road. One-off events are also known to happen. Contact Mark Rigby for more information at email@example.com
Men's Curry Night
Once a term, a good number of St Paul's men eat together at a local curry house on a Sunday evening at 7.30pm at Saffron's Brasserie opposite St Paul's. To confirm your attendance, to find out the next date, please contact the organiser, Giles Phillips on firstname.lastname@example.org
The Apprentice Group meets twice a month at 8.30 on a Sunday morning. Members seek to build the practice of the spiritual disciplines into their daily lives, to ground themselves in God’s love and peace in a hectic, often troubling world. Membership of the group requires commitment to both attendance and the daily practice. The group is opened to newcomers once a year, in September.
